The Tail Sniffer is an aircraft tracking platform operated by Roxstar Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at thetailsniffer.com and our iOS application (collectively, the "Service").
Account Information
When you request access or create an account, we collect your name, email address, company or organization name, professional role, and optionally your phone number and aviation certificate type. This information is used to verify your identity and determine eligibility for access as a verified aviation professional or other qualified user.
Usage Data
We collect basic analytics about how you use the Service, including pages visited and features used, through Vercel Analytics. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
Aircraft Data
Aircraft information, tracking data, and related records that you add to the platform are stored in association with your organization. This data is derived from publicly broadcast ADS-B signals and is not considered personally identifiable information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following service providers to operate the platform:

Your account information is retained for as long as your account is active. Flight history and position data may be retained to provide historical tracking features and related service functionality. If you delete your account, your profile and personal information are permanently removed. Aircraft and flight data associated with your organization may be retained if other users in the organization still have active accounts.
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page within the app. Account deletion is permanent and removes your profile, personal information, and notification preferences. To request deletion by email, contact support@roxstarlab.com.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication with hashed passwords, and row-level security policies that ensure users can only access data belonging to their organization.
The Service uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Supabase authentication tokens are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You can update your name and notification preferences in Settings. You can delete your account entirely from the Settings page. For any other requests, contact us at support@roxstarlab.com.
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Access is intended for verified aviation professionals and other qualified adult users with a legitimate operational need.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
