Why this exists
Building all of this, and keeping it running, comes with real costs, mostly the live data that keeps every tail on the map. As I mentioned last month, that’s why The Tail Sniffer now has a free plan and a paid Pro plan: it pays for the data and lets me keep adding features like these. The free plan is not going anywhere.
You found it early, reported the tails that wouldn’t track, sat through the outages, and told me what was missing. You shouldn’t pay what someone showing up next year pays. Founders is my thank-you: Pro at the lowest price it will ever be, held there for as long as you keep it.

If you were gracious enough to donate to The Tail Sniffer while it was being built, thank you. You automatically get Founders with your first year free. There’s nothing you need to do.

What changes, and when
Paid plans start today, but nothing changes for you right away. If you already have an account, you keep everything you have today until January 5 while you decide.
After that, an account without a plan moves to the free plan: 3 aircraft and the last 30 days of history. Nothing is deleted. Extra aircraft are paused and older flights are kept, and both come back the moment you upgrade.
LADD-enrolled aircraft need LADD on any plan, Founders included. From January 5, they are hidden on accounts without it.
Founders is open until October 31. After that it’s gone for good.
